Effective mentoring does not happen by chance. The young people we serve often face complex challenges that require mentors to respond with compassion, confidence, and specialized knowledge. That is why RSN is committed to ensuring every mentor receives high-quality training, ongoing coaching, and professional supervision. As demand for our mentoring program grows, so does our responsibility to ensure every mentor is prepared to meet the diverse needs of the youth and caregivers we serve.
Many of our mentors bring valuable lived experience but have had limited access to professional development and career-building opportunities. RSN helps remove these barriers by providing mentors with a living wage, specialized training, supervised direct-service experience, and opportunities to pursue professional certifications. Together, these investments help mentors build transferable skills and open pathways to careers in peer support and recovery, youth and family services, behavioral health, substance use services, case management and resource navigation, and other youth-serving and behavioral health professions.
This year, we’re raising $15,000 to strengthen our Mentor Development Program.

Consider one of these impact levels:
- $850 can cover comprehensive mentor coaching, including 25 hours of foundational onboarding training, monthly peer meetings, and monthly 1-on-1 supervision coaching to ensure high-quality youth support.
- $500 helps provide ongoing coaching and supervision to keep mentors equipped to serve effectively.
- $250 can help support specialized Recovery Coach Academy training for one mentor.
- $100 helps offset the cost of Youth Mental Health First Aid training.
- $50 helps provide training materials and resources for a mentor.

The Reintegration Support Network (RSN) empowers and inspires underestimated youth and emerging adults (ages 13-20) impacted by substance use, mental health challenges, and/or justice involvement. Founded in memory of Matt McQuiston, an 18-year-old who tragically lost his life to a drug overdose, RSN is driven by a commitment to dismantle systemic barriers that prevent young people and families from accessing vital mental health and substance use services.
