Communityworx is enriching lives by building collaborative partnerships and transforming charitable donations into educational and community investments. YouthWorx on Main, RSN’s home base, is a youth-serving nonprofit collaborative powered by CommunityWorx and Youth Forward, building capacity for Triangle organizations through collaboration. YouthWorx on Main serves as a catalyst for impact, supercharging nonprofits with best practices that improve the lives of underserved youth in the Triangle region of North Carolina.
INKcounter
INKounter seeks to support justice-impacted individuals through individualized, one-on-one and small group projects. Projects are tailored to bring awareness to participants’ identities and role in society. The program is founded on understanding emotions, art and self-expression, and restoration. The curriculum allows participants to get out of the box that society has put them in as “justice-involved,” “criminal,” and other labels that stigmatize a person’s identity and potential.

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) is the agency within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services that leads public health efforts to advance the behavioral health of the nation. SAMHSA’s mission is to reduce the impact of substance abuse and mental illness on America’s communities.

Southern Vision Alliance (SVA) is a justice centered values-based “grassroots intermediary” organized to provide incubation, infrastructure, capacity building, coaching, and technical assistance to frontline organizing projects, leadership programs, and collaborations led by directly-impacted communities in the US South.

The TEACH Initiative
The TEACH Initiative is a non-profit organization run by UNC-Chapel Hill undergraduates, which provides engaging presentations on mental health and substance use to high schoolers in North Carolina. These topics are presented in a low-intensity, conversational format, creating a comfortable and trusting environment for students to learn from older peers.
