Outreach & Education

RSN provides CCAR’s Recovery Coach Academy training as well as, Recovery Coaching Academy for Young People, Recovery Coaching Basics to community members and partner organizations at no cost.

The CCAR Recovery Coach Academy© is a 5-day intensive training academy focusing on providing individuals with the skills needed to guide, mentor and support anyone who would like to enter into or sustain long-term recovery from an addiction to alcohol or other drugs.  The CCAR Recovery Coach Academy prepares participants by helping them to actively listen, ask really good questions, and discover and manage their own stuff.

The CCAR Recovery Coach Academy© for Young People was developed to enhance the skills of young people supporting other young people on their recovery journey. This course provides you with the knowledge and skills necessary to guide and mentor others through their own recovery process and is open to everyone – people in recovery, family members, friends and allies.

The CCAR Recovery Coaching Basics© is a one-day training designed to help you gain a better understanding of the recovery process. This curriculum provides a basic, introductory version of Recovery Coaching in order to meet the needs of those who want a general understanding of the recovery process to better understand and support the recovery of their loved ones, friends, and colleagues.

RSN mentors and staff are also available to provide recovery and well being-focused presentations. For more information, or to schedule a training or presentation, please contact, Lucy Battles (Lucy@rsnnc.org), 984-777-5282.
