Marian Cheek Jackson center

September 28, 2021

The Marian Cheek Jackson Center is a nonprofit that focuses on honoring, renewing, and preserving the history of the historically Black North side, Pine Knoll,
and Tin Top neighborhoods in Chapel Hill. The Learning Across Generations program works to honor local history by having activists, educators, and community members come together to teach local history in K-12 classrooms. Through the collaboration of these local leaders, youth and educators we’re able showcase inspirational personal narratives that are often left out of the
curriculum.
